Let's give a big shout out to the attendees and sponsors of our 2020 Annual Golf Tournament. It is through the generous donations of these individuals and firms that the 2021 AWMA Scholarship is made possible. Specifically, we would like to applaud the following firms for their Sponsorships:
Sixth Annual Dave Breault Memorial Golf Tournament
In honor of Dave Breault and his contributions to the engineering and environmental community, as well as our local youth, the proceeds from the tournament will go towards the A&WMA Nevada Section's Annual Scholarship for students in Southern Nevada pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or environmental-based fields.
2020 Scholarships Awarded
Congratulations to Robert Majors and Bailey Kesl, recipients of the 2020 A&WMA Southern Nevada Section Scholarship awards. Robert is a Senior at UNLV pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and Bailey is a Junior at CSN studying Environmental Management and pursuing a career as a Environmental Scientist. Each received a $2,500 scholarship award for the Fall 2020 Semester.
The scholarship is made possible through the continued support of our members and friends at our monthly luncheons, the annual Dave Breault Golf Tournament, and our gracious sponsors. Thank you!
As you are already aware, the COVID-19 issue is ongoing and ever changing throughout the world. Based on the most recent guidance from the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state officials we have decided to cancel all in-person luncheon meetings for the foreseeable future. We will be holding Virtual Monthly Meetings.
We will continue to monitor the situation and follow the guidelines and recommendations of public health authorities to determine when we will be able to resume public gatherings.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
